NotifAi ("we", "us") provides a reminder and scheduling assistant that can send invitations and reminders via WhatsApp and email. If you have questions, contact us at thabo@techhubza.co.za.
Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, and plan (when applicable).
- Friend invite data: friend name, WhatsApp number, and email address entered by a user to send an invitation.
- Reminder data: reminder title, date/time, status, category, and assignment details (when applicable).
- Message data: messages users send to NotifAi (text and/or voice notes) and related metadata used to create reminders.
- Technical data: logs (timestamps, request IDs), device/browser information, and IP address for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To send invites and enable friends to accept or deny invitations.
- To create, schedule, and deliver reminders and lists requested by users.
- To prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain service security.
- To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues.
Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to operate the service, including:
- Meta/WhatsApp: to deliver WhatsApp messages.
- Email providers: to deliver invitation emails.
- Infrastructure providers: such as hosting and database services (e.g., Firebase Hosting and Supabase).
- Automation providers: to run workflows (e.g., Pipedream) where applicable.
Retention
We retain invite records and reminder data only as long as necessary to operate the service and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see Data Deletion).
Your rights and choices
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting thabo@techhubza.co.za.
- If you receive an invite unexpectedly, you can ignore it or request deletion.
- You can opt out of future messages by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards (access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring). No method is 100% secure.
Legal
We aim to comply with applicable privacy laws, including South Africa's POPIA where applicable.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a revised effective date.
